PRAISE FOR THE GIFTED SERIES
The Gifted (Book I: The Rise of Blaze) features an ensemble cast of characters, each with their own unique histories, strengths, and flaws. It's often hard to know who to trust. Preston Antunes manages the difficult task of juggling multiple subplots throughout the larger story, and giving the right amount of “screen time” to each of these cast members. The writing is fresh and easy to follow, and the work will appeal to both young adult and adult readers alike. There is plenty of world building in this first book, and it is built upon a solid foundation that will keep the reader turning the page until the end is reached. An enjoyable debut by an up-and-coming author.

The author has perfectly infused the themes of mysterious supernatural abilities and dangers. I would highly recommend this book to readers who love an excellent, edge of your seat mystery novel.
